This client commissioned me to do a caricature live sketching job last year (but working in a different company now), at the same venue - Equinox, Level 69, Raffles City Tower.
She has too many guest (all over the world) caricatures for me to complete within 3 hours.
Thus, I have to get one more caricaturist, Reggie to help out.
Easy to capture his features and essence.
Can't miss his bunny teeth.
He wanted a Chinese name for himself.
Simple and easy translation - 默哈末阿里(Mohammad Ali)
Didn't see his eyes closed when snapping this photo. Should have checked.
Only give me his big smile when I snapped this photo, as he told me that he can't smile for long.
Chop chop.... done.
No guest queing behind him.
All having dinner.
Thus, I spent more time on his cariicature.
Gave him a swing golf posture.
This guy can really smile, and holds his smile throughout the 5 minute sketch.
He told me his job requires him to smile most of the time....Hahaha.... just like mine when I am sketching them. Can't show the guest your grouchy or serious look.
A doctor from New Zealand.
He has his second caricature done tonight.
Most of the guests have their caricatures done.
Snapped these artworks during this break.
Without knowing the ink was not fully dried up, he inserted it into the plastic bag.
That goes the artwork.
This photo will be his only copy left.
Job all done!!!.
Saw this view (before the event started) from the other side of Equinox, which I didn't see last year.
Snapped them for fun.
Testing my Nikon D80 without and with bounce flash.
Showing the difference to Reggie.
Feedback from the client (via email), after the event:-
"Thanks, Jit.
Great job at our event! Our guests are really happy with their caricatures. I think it's something they appreciate more than the usual corporate gifts given out at such events.
Best Regards
siaosze "
