caricature live sketching at Young Entrepreneurs
This is not the usual gig I did for corporate, but as "Young Entrepreneurs" organised by Rosyth School, at Hougang Central Hub.

Things we sold include the old cameras from my late dad's photo studio - Mamiya RB67.

I did some live caricatures to make some money for the kids.

I did this on iPad Ink.

Live sketching and from photo.

The kids (except my daughter) are busying playing games instead of selling!:D

Drawing on balloon!

digital live sketching for Great Eastern Dinner & Dance on iPad2

An hour gig, 6:30pm - 7:30pm, at Ritz Carlton Hotel.

This wasn't my usual caricature live sketching on paper, but sketching on iPad.
I need to reach the venue earlier to setup the hardwares - iPad2, Macbook Pro (MBP), and a Canon Digital Photo Printer and the TV connection from my Macbook Pro.
Besides these, I have to setup internet connection via my iPhone 4S Personal Hotspot, to hook up the MBP. I have a 3G SIM Card for the iPad2, just in case the Personal Hotspot doesn't work.
The Photostream in Mac OS X Lion doesn't work with Personal Hotspot. It doesn't recognize it as wifi.
The hotel's wifi signal was so weak and slow, for the Photostream to work.
Thus, I have to manually email out every caricatures, download and print from my Macbook Pro.

A test print of a caricature, to make sure the printer is working fine.

Before the gig starts, I did a warm-up sketch of Reggie, my caricaturist partner for today's gig.
The guests was watching the sketching process on the TV, which was hooked by to the iPad.

First guest sketched.

The 4R printouts. Sorry for the blur image.

I guessed I am most happy with this sketch done in this gig?!

Job done!

digital live caricature of a guinea pig on iPad2 at a coffee shop

To get well prepared for the gig, I did a live sketching on my iPad today.
The guinea pig is my friend - Eddie Quek.

This is my fourth time sketching him.
First time was with pencil on paper.
Second time was on Cintiq.
Third time was on iPad.
Is he lucky or unlucky?:D

Me in action. This time no stylus, only finger, as it was in-prompt-to.
