Another order from my friend, Jack. A gift for his relative's (??) wedding, in Hawaiian wear, surfing with Lilo & Stitch.

Third one too...... initial stage of this sketch, I thought this one will not make it, but it was otherwise.


Then I thought this is the one to choose......


But end up this one is my favourite!


This is the only digital sketch studies (yet) which I like all of them....

Caricature for Ernst & Young

Client's brief:-
"....As a background, Florian has been seconded to our Singapore Office for about two years, and he will be returning to his home country in a week's time. Theme for the caricature -- we hope he brings back with him some memories of Singapore, hence the caricature -- a gift from our fellow colleagues...."


For Singapore landmarks, you can't get away with the popular Merlion, Esplanades, Singapore Flyer, Marina Bay Sands (MBS) etc.....

Caricature for Russell Reynolds

Client's brief:-
"• Him in a superman costume and superman flying pose
• We are from the finance team, so maybe have him hold a calculator.
• some charts/numbers in the background.
• 5 girls (Korean Group Wonder Girls) shouting “WE WANT NOBODY BUT YOU!!”

.....For the 5 girls, it can just be any picture of 5 girls doing a dance move (see attached), you don’t have to draw the faces. They can be really tiny too (maybe you can add tiny wordings – “wondergirls”) …....

could you have Superman hold on to a mug of beer in his other hand? "

Second attempt of Megan Fox caricature

I quite like this sketch done earlier on.

Since I have some time, I painted over the sketch.



Pushed it further.... raised her eyebrows, and fuller lips.....oops!:D

I picked this sketch to develop further with grey colour rendering, which I have been longing to try it.:)

Shortened her face proportion....


Cleaning up the lines.... I enhanced (exaggerated) the curves of her body shapes at this stage



Modified the fingers and her right arm a little more, after feedback from Cliff Roth, a caricaturist friend on Facebook......

Not satisfied with the previous sketches, I continued with more sketch studies of Megan Fox....

Reworked on this reference photo from scratch.

This reference photo is beautiful, but it is hard to capture her resemblance.....

I tried to capture it with some gray wash on it......

Looks pretty cool, but need to work harder on the face later......
Seems like I have decided which one to work on.....:D

warm up sketches - Megan Fox...

Some sketches right after I woke up.
I picked Megan Fox and started sketching on iPad Sketchbook Pro.



I have to admit - they are not good, in terms of resemblance..... but I enjoyed the scribbling on the iPad.... lines and lines...


I worked further on Wacom Cintiq in Photoshop......

trying to get a better feel of how she looks like.......

and lined them up to decide how to proceed from here.....

Portrait live sketching for CitiGold Private Client

Second gig for CitiGold Private Client.
The client requested for portrait live sketching again, just like the previous gig.
Same venue - Capital Square.
Time is longer, from 6pm-9pm, but lesser artists required - 4 artist this time.
I got Reggie, Welles and Hock Lee to partner me.


First one to kick off. I think he could be the boss of this office.:P



This client requested for a caricature! Ahha! He's a living caricature anyway. It would be a waste if I draw a portrait for him. Hahaha....



This is one of my favourite portrait done this evening.


This gentleman also requested for a golfer caricature for himself.


I have a good chat with this couple.

Caricature theme - lend me your ear.....

Client's brief:-
"Would you be able to draw him with Big ear (just one side),a hand holding out towards you and a mouth that just keep nagging? The surrounding and be filled with words or just symbols coming out from the mouth."
