Caricature theme - Indian traditional wedding
Client's brief:-
"Hi Jit,
As per our earlier conversation, I would like to have a caricature potrait done with an Indian wedding theme; i.e. Traditional indian costumes (bride and bridegroom), background (anything), with the groom carrying the bridegroom. I would like to have this in soft-copy so that we can attach it to the wedding invites.....the groom shall be carrying the bride in a standing position. Background: something minimalistic and with the words: "we're tying the knot.".....'

Caricature live sketching for Ernst & Young Evening 2010
Another event for Ernst & Young.
An hour gig (5:45pm - 6:45pm) at Resorts World Convention Centre, Compass Ballroom West & Central, Basement 2.
My first gig at Resort World Sentosa (RWS).
What a well-hidden entrance....:D
Small entrance to huge ballrooms. The Compass Ballroom alone can accommodate 2000 guests.
The event organiser told me that I have some potential guests to get ready for their caricatures to be drawn by me.
As soon as I put up the queue list, half of the paper was filled. They even crowded around to wait for their turn. These could be those potential guests as mentioned by the organiser.
Since they are waiting and I have nothing to do, I might as well start sketching slightly earlier than the engaged time.
I was pretty satisfied with the caricatures drawn this evening. Thanks to the subjects, and I was in a good mood.:D
These two were pretty good to me.:)
I especially love this piece. So were his colleagues and friends.
She was laughing away upon seeing her caricature sketch in progress.....
Some of the caricatures left on my table, waiting for the ink to fully dry up.

caricature live sketching for Pan Pacific Hotels Group Family Day
An hour gig (4:30pm - 5:30pm) at Novena Square, Tower A.
Booking only came in yesterday. Pretty last minute.
But I am still available, since it wasn't at the usual booking timing of 6:30-7:30pm.
I was lucky to kick start with some interesting subjects. It was a good warm-up!
A rather tight one - 3 caricatures in one A4 size.
This was a close one!
Last 2....
digital caricature study of Liv Tyler
Meant to be a study of her face, but I went further, by painting it.
(Usually I just do sketch studies.)
It is fun to use colours (instead of lines) to sculpture out her face.

Caricature live sketching for Autism Association (Singapore) Staff Dinner 2010
An hour gig (6:15-7:15pm) at Glass Atrium, National Museum of Singapore.
The client required 3 caricaturists.
Reggie was one of the artists hired by them.
They required 2 more caricaturists from me. I am one of them, and got Jeddie, who has been drawing for years, to partner me.
One of the subjects with more interesting features to caricature....:)
She looks like a doll. Isn't it?:)
