1.5 hours event for a little girl, Andrea's 12th years old birthday party at Singapore Island Country Club.
Wilfred came along with me to do some photo shooting, for his portfolio.
He used his F2.8 Nikon lens with my D80 body.
Definitely sharper than my kit lens.
All little girls!!! Usually I prefer a mixture of boys, girls, men , women etc.
More varieties, which gives me different inspirations for every caricatures.
Think this round just do my job.
The parents didn't have their names written on the queue list.
So no varieties for this event.
All crowding around me. But they are well-disciplined, in not coming to close to my drawings.
In about 9 years' time, my daughter will be at their age.
Was wondering (while sketching) whether she will be like them by then - as in the way they talk, giggle etc.
Think shouldn't be too far off.
She must be wondering why I draw her with a 'claw' at this stage.....
She's fun to sketch - small pointed eyes with bunny teeth.
Thus, I asked Wilfred to video this process for me.
My friend was happily snapping away. That's the only thing he can do in this 1.5 hours.
Another interesting face to sketch. One more short video clip.
The parents can recognise her from her caricature on the table (for drying), even when she's not around. I have succeeded in capturing her essence.:)))
I know the background music doesn't really tally with my drawing speed.
Can't find any suitable one from my music library.
If I go on searching, this post may end up 1 month outdated, when I post it up here.
I will find a more suitable one next time.:)
The birthday girl. Very very shy. Don't dare to look up, no matter how many times I have requested so. Think this is the most extremely shy model I have met in my 14 years live of sketching.
Job done!
