Client's brief:-
".....Here are what I texted you in terms of the requirements:
*Style: marker (theme)
*Character: Superman
*Other executional changes:
(1) Change "S" on the costume to "V"
(2) Superman is flying in the sky
(3) Keep background simple so we can write messages around the
superman caricature
*Frame: Black...."


A really urgent order - one day delivery.
The client requested space in the background, for her colleagues for their messages and signatures.

caricature theme - lady in Traditional Thai costume

Client's brief:-
"Hi Jit,
Would like to place an order for a Caricature Drawing in marker with theme for my Thai friend in Singapore. As for the background, i would to have a iconic/symbolic places of Singapore (Merlion, Swissotel, Esplanade, Marina Bay Sands, Resort world and etc). She will be standing in front wearing Those Traditional Thai Costume with one hand holding on to a Disney character The Piglet. On top of her, on the sky..behind/in between of those iconic places , Please include a hot air ballon, floating above with the shape of a Birthday cake (with the word happy birthday written in Thai characters). I would like the Drawing the be Ready by 27 Feb, and i will collect personally, Normal Black Plastic Frame. Many Thanks and Happy Drawing. Have always love your Creativity and your drawing have bring joy and laughters to so many people. Keep Up the good work and continue the good drawing which i believe will make u the not only the best Artist in Singapore..perhaps one fine day the best around the world !!! CheerSSsss !!!"

This traditional Thai costume is not easy to draw, but it turned out awesome (I think), with the colours and highlights added in.

Caricature live sketching for Swire Pacific Offshore & The China Navigation Company Pte Ltd Annual D&D

An hour gig (6:45pm - 7:45pm) at Sheraton Tower.
The guests all dressed up as students in this company Dinner and Dance.
Interesting idea!
I nearly mistaken this event is for students, until I saw wrinkles on some of their faces while sketching them........Oops! Sorry.....

Each of us was given the choice to choose a soccer player from Spain, and draw up a caricature.
My Facebook caricaturist friend - Gerardo Oroz Gomez (the organiser) finally managed to have the poster done up.
Isn't it awesome to see different styles of the caricaturists being put together into a poster?

Lemorris is one of the best car caricaturist I have came across online.
I was blown away by his works when I first saw his works on Facebook.
He likes my works too. Thus, we agreed to exchange caricature. He will draw a caricature of my car and I will do a caricature of him.

I came up with a digital sketch of him.
Boy, this guy has great features to caricature!

Blocking in the values, and this reference photo has great lighting and colours to work with.
The light came from his back, and half of his face is under the shade.
No pure white on the highlight of his face. Challenging and fun!


Tightening the painting and added in the skin texture.

The tougher part of this caricature lies in his hat.
The little details of the hat is killing me.
It is testing my patience.
I tried to simplify the details, but not making it like a wishy-washy job done.
I really enjoyed this painting process (his face only....lol!!!).

Caricature for Singapore Armed Forces (SAF)

A farewell gift to a reservist commander (who is a regular) is retiring. He loves jogging. and in charge of the building of The Float@Marina Bay (and also known as the Marina Bay Floating Platform).

Caricature theme - Aladdin and Jasmine

Client's brief:-
".....I'll just give you a rough
description of what I want. Basically like I mentioned in my first
email, it should be a caricature of aladdin and jasmine flying on a
carpet. But with the faces of my girlfriend and me instead.


I have attached two pictures. It would be great if it could be just
like ja001. But instead of a circle, I would prefer it to be a
rectangular picture like ja002. I would also like the colour of the
sky to be a darker blue like in ja002. If you feel ja002 would look
better in drawing than ja001, you can do that too. But I do not want
the birds in the picture.


I will send you another 2 emails with the photos of my girlfriend and
me. See which would give you the best view. Sorry about the excessive
demands. And thanks for your help."

There are 2 sessions today, simply because today is the Valentine's Day.
The client wanted to catch the lunch and dinner time crowd.
This is the third session, 1-3pm, at Raffles City outlet.
