Caricatures for Khoo Teck Puat Hospital

Client's brief:-
"Female: She is a Senior doctor (Dr Phoa Lee Lan) nickname: Fairy God Sister to the Department of General Medicine’s Secretaries. Character like Hua Mulan. Like to stand up for people. Love Justice.

The client initially ordered the first 2 caricatures in pen and brush (black & white) outline.
However, upon seeing the color version (which stands out more, and facial muscles shown up betterwith the color shades) of the last caricature, they decided to request me to add in colors.


"Male: HOD (A/Prof Sin Fai Lam). Always preach peace and has a good name to many doctors under him in the past 30 plus years. A smiley, jovial good man. Speaks English and French only. I am his secretary and he is one of the best bosses alive...."




"Dr Christopher Willis. A commoner Doctor. Nice to the poor and weak. All patients loves him. He speaks mandarin and Cantonese.
Stand for justice and he look like and laugh like Santa Claus. He has a tummy.
Like to wear short sleeves shirt) and always wears a black front pouch in front, below his little tummy."


Client's response upon seeing the above caricatures:-
"Wow!"

Caricature for Panalpina World Transport (S) Pte Ltd

Client's brief:-
"Dear Jit,
As spoken this morning, we would like to confirm the drawing to be A2 size instead. And following to note about the sketch :
- To take away the Panalpina Logo on the right-hand top corner
- To use/reflect the graphic of the logo on the biker’s jersey
- Sample picture of the racing bike as attached.
- The biker has a very athletic built and always likes to look good
- The caption font is perfect, we would like to have it as “Don’t forget PA Southeast Asia”
- Should have some distance between Singapore and China
- Boss also would like to request the dotted line from Singapore to China (it is his idea, pls help to incorporate)...."

Caricature live sketching 2011 Formula 1 RR Donnelley Party

The client who engaged me for my sketching service for this gig, used to engage my service a few years back when she was working in Bowne Singapore.
The initial booking was from 7pm - 10pm, but was extended for another hour due to popular demand from her guests.

Kicked start with this lady who assisted me in managing the long queue, throughout this 4 hours gig.





This husband told me that his wife used to be a famous actress in Bollywood. Can you recognize her?

digital portraits for Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS)

Another job for MCYS, via City Neon, instead of Pico Art.
I guessed they could have seen what I did for them previously, and they decided to engage my illustration service again.

Total of 34 portrait digital illustrations this round. They took me quite some time to complete.


Some of them are pretty interesting to illustrate, because of their features, posture, expressions and lighting, while the rest of the reference photos are of very low resolution. I have hard time figuring the features in between the pixels.

I like to add how the white hair brings out the 3D and flow of the hair here.
