filming for Mediacorp Channel 8 Drama 我们等你 - Day 2

I was notified few days ago, to do another filming this morning, 8:30am at 200 Turf City, Art Boot Camp.




Task for today - act as 俊良's hand and demonstrate to the kids how to draw cartoon cats.
Besides being able to draw, the artist's hand must not be fleshy, but skinny like 俊良's hand.
Guess that's the reason why I was chosen?!:D

cartoon illustration for Singapore Art Museum postcards

A cartoon illustration with pile of birthday cards, in simple lines, but not a simple job.
I took hours and hours of drawing these cards (don't ask me how many), visualizing how they would appear when they are piled up to look like a giant birthday cake.

The designer sent me some visuals she has done up.

These are birthday invitation cards which will be sent out to the public, for them to express their creativity and well-wishes for Singapore (coming National Day), on the other side of card.

These cards will be featured on the Istana Art Event on 7 Aug 2011, into a giant art installation in the lush grounds of the Istana. Outstanding entries will be awarded a prize which will be given by President S R Nathan.




I am looking forward to see the actual product. I will update on this blog, if I ever happen to see the end product. High chance!

Similar piece sold again, but to British Petroleum (United Kingdom) this time.

Caricature template for Singtel and The British Club

I will be sketching in a gig for Singtel & The British Club tomorrow, in celebration of Singapore National Day. The client needs a few caricature templates drawn beforehand, so that we (the caricaturists) can draw more of their guests in the gig.
It was pretty last minute job requested by the event organiser, as something cropped up with his previous illustrator, and thus he approached me for help.


The ink outline....


I colour in digitally. The colours are cleaner and more vibrant, especially good when the client prints them out using colour laser printer.


I cropped it into 3 pieces, i.e., they can be joined as one group caricatures if they are put together, ideal for family caricatures.
