Client's brief:-
" .....We would like to have a romantic Fairy Tale piece, i have attached a few pictures for your reference. The picture i have in mind is us standing in front of the disney castle. And there are green pastures, waters and perfect skies (like it is in the picture 'Castle' as attached.)..."
Feedback from the client on my Facebook Fan Page:-
"Thanks for the fabulous work!!! Looks exactly like us!! And the theme is perfect too. I should've asked you to lie and slim me down tho! Haha! Added colours to our big day. Amazing artist!"

digital caricature of Mr Bean
I have failed many times in sketching a good caricature of Mr Bean - Rowan Atkinson.
This round, I really sit down and did a couple of thumbnail sketches in pencil to really study his face, to prpeare for another Caricature Workshop round the corner.
I chose this expression to develop further.....
Blocking in the colours....
Here comes the exciting part. I always like to paint from this stage till final, and I can spend hours and hours on it.
Something different from what I usually do. I left it not fully painted.

Some sketch studies of Michael.....
Pretty satisfied with this sketch....
Blocking in the colours....
Tightening it....
Fine-tuning the details...

Portrait live sketching for Marella boutique
Date: 28 August, Sat
Time: 2- 5pm
Venue: Marella boutique at Isetan Scotts Level 2
Event: fashion show
The client wanted the customers to look beautiful, or as it is , and not exaggerated/distorted caricatures which they got previously (from another caricaturist... that's what they told me)
Initially, I thought I will be drawing on A4 size paper, when the client liaised with me via email.
Pretty surprised when I saw this little size of cardboard they passed to me. Even smaller than A5 size. I quickly get myself adjusted to this little size which I seldom work with.
The pencil portraits are taking longer time.....
and the queue is getting long fast.....
I switched to drawing with my brush and ink. This client also requested for this medium.
Arha....... the models doing catwalk near me.....
One more snapshot during the interval while waiting for the next subject....
This could be one of the best portraits I sketched for this gig....:)
This gentleman wanted a caricature of himself....
The wife (which I have sketched earlier on) saw her hubby's caricature, and loves it. I sketched another one for her to make it a pair.:)
Another model!
# P/S: Met a couple which I have sketched them in the Bvlgari gig 2 years ago.
They recognised me. Wow.... so touched, and I remember their faces, which is quite rare to me:D
Even though I draw faces, I am very bad at remembering faces......

digital sketch of Mfull Chan
A caricature of my old friend's (Wilfred's) mum.
I used to go to her house often during my secondary school time.
She said I have not drawn her before. I got some photos from Wilfred this May. Yeap! 3 months ago:P
And I finally have the time to do one for her.
She dropped me an email:-
"Many thanks, Jit Leong!!
You sure make my day!!!!
How can I thank you!!!! "

Caricature theme - Before & Now
Caricature live sketching @ UOB Finance Division
An hour , but extended for another 15 minutes' gig (11:50am - 1:05pm).
This client is leaving the company, and her colleagues asked for something special as a farewell gift from her.
She engaged my service to do live sketching at her office in Far Eastern Bank Building during their lunch time. Her colleagues don't know about it beforehand. They were only told to have their hair styled and dressed nicely.....
Kick start with this gentleman.....
Her boss...
and her colleagues....
This was a good one to me. They love the sparkling big eyes too.:)
This was a close one too....
They love this one too. Seems like big eyes are more welcome to them....:D
The client who engaged me. She has her caricature done by me in a gig few years ago, and also commissioned me to sketch a caricature as what she told me.....
Happy face... happy caricature. This is a nice one!
She was on leave today. Thus, they prepared her photo for me to sketch....
Group shots!
The client was very kind to send me some photos she took when I am in action..... and I love such photos. Thanks a lot, Seow Yen! Really appreciate it!
Feedback from my client via email:-
