I am emailing on behalf of the external relations officer at the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) in Malaysia. As you may know, UNHCR is a humanitarian and non-profit organisation under the United Nations, with a mandate to protect refugees.
In conjunction with World Refugee Day on 20 June, in our efforts to create awareness on the refugee issue, we will be producing T-shirts with an advocacy message printed on the back and on the front a photograph of a famous refugee. The refugee we selected is Einstein. Einstein was in fact a refugee and we are looking for a suitable image to print on the t shirt. I think this image would be excellent for our t shirts. Would it be possible for us to use this caricature as a pro bono contribution from you? It will be for this limited duration at this specific event only. The t shirt will be sold, but with the purpose of the profits to go towards helping refugees. UNHCR runs on extremely limited budget and we would not be able to afford your professional fees.
Full credit will be given to your image on the t shirt itself. And in fact, we are happy to credit you on our website and Facebook as a special feature to highlight the contribution, together with a link to your website/blog.

This Albert Einstein caricature was drawn last May for my display sample in gigs.
Since it can help to raise funds for the Refugee, why not?

The External Relation Officer dropped me an email subsequently:-

I wanted to touch base with you following the departure of Keke. Keke
has finished his internship with UNHCR, and I was concerned that you
would not know who to contact at UNHCR in his absence.
I was his supervisor, and I want to thank you so much for your
contribution.
I will be sending by courier a few of the T shirts for you today. Did
Keke send you photos of the shirt being worn? I asked him to do that
before he left, but I was not sure if he did it.
Anyway, the shirts will be couriered to you later today to your office
address as mentioned. The shirts are L sized, as requested.
The shirts were a major hit at the event. Thank you!
As agreed with you, we will not be re-printing the shirts beyond the
World Refugee Day period. We printed 3,000 for the weekend, and we only
have a few left over now which we are giving away to donors and such.
