Client's brief:-
"....Our priority is quality of artwork and authenticity rather than cost....."


Did the following rough sketches while I was out, in a food court to save some time.
Love this Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1. I am not bounded to desk, working on my Wacom Cintiq.



Transferred the sketches to my Wacom Cintiq 24HD and started inking and rendering.....







Next is to get this NLB building done up and piece the 6 subjects together.

Added in the caption - "2nd International Summit of the Book" and NLB logo, with each piece highlighting one subject by increasing the size. This is why drawing this digitally is teh way to go to cut cost. Imagine doing this traditionally on paper, I have to draw 30 faces and NLB building 6 times!


Last 2 individual caricatures with NLB building in the background, and I am done with this job!

digital caricature for Singapore Navy

Client's brief:-
"....My boss is Commander of RSS VIGILANCE (Ship number 90). He is the one in the centre photo of the 1st attached picture wearing red Adidas polo tee. The 2nd attached picture is the ship we wanted the background to be in, but change the ship number to 90, and make it more prominent. Do omit the ship behind it as we wanted only 1 ship in the background. His rank is Lieutenant Colonel (LTC , 2 tiger-lion insignia), and we wanted it inside the caricature. We wanted him to be drawn wearing Smart No. 4 (Sleeves rolled up), but do take note that the pants will go down all the way and not like what the army boots (So its just like wearing normal pants).  Its not that revealing. As for his arms we wanted him to fold his arms, but with a palm sticking out gesturing "wait a minute" while still folding them. Palm facing us. At the bottom I'd like to state "From crew of RSS VIGILANCE 2013", font and design up to you, just at a small corner or where you think it will look good. Caricature can be in portrait or landscape mode, whichever you think is best...."

"Please do the following in your caricature:
1. Fill teeth
2. All black hair. Resemblence to Elvis Presley Curl and side burns.
3. Only minor wrinkles

He likes:
1. Background: Cyclect building (with logo) - SEND TO YOU ANOTHER PHOTO LATER.
2. One hand: Wine (with wine glass with red wine) - almost drinking like holding microphone (SEE CLOTHING 1)
3. One hand: TV remote control
4. Clothing: Cool Elvis Presley clothing. (SEE CLOTHING 1)
5. No need guitar.

Big Wording include in picture: 70! AGED TO PERFECTION!"
